After co-managing a multi-million-dollar nonprofit student society at McGill University in Canada, I moved back home to the Bay Area to find a path into tech. I soon signed up for my first hackathon, but with a recently-minted Anthropology BA, I wasn't quite sure yet what I'd do there. I ended up pitching an idea that attracted a world-class team, building a concept that won the event and spending the next few months using the awarded resources to get the idea off the ground. Through that experience, I was exposed to user experience design — and the application of ethnographic research to solving business problems — and haven't looked back since.
STRATEGIC. FUTURISTIC. CONTAGIOUSLY ENTHUSIASTIC.
I'm now a Product Manager with over 5 years of experience designing new things on tech teams at startups and Fortune 500 companies researching, designing and leading product and service innovation, with a particular passion for positively impacting people's lives.
I enjoy getting to know people, tackling complex problems, using research to defend design ideas, and applying anthropological methods to tech and service design. I'm especially passionate about social and environmental issues, and would love to work with other people excited about social justice. In my spare time, I love to travel, sail, kiteboard and learn about new trends in tech and design.
