A CAMPAIGN TO END THE STIGMA OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
La Casa de las Madres
Campaign + App Concept
La Casa approached Goodby, Silverstein & Partners HackSF participants with a challenge:
Domestic violence can happen to anyone, but is often stigmatized.
How might we encourage conversation around this issue to reduce this stigma?
Our solution was a web app and guerilla sticker ad campaign to encourage everyone to save the domestic violence hotline in their phones, thereby destigmatizing having access to this resource; addressing a key point brought up by Casa's leader, engaging communities in discussion around the issue and fitting within the nonprofit's budget.

Our team consisted of Anisa, an expert in womens' issues; Allan, a master strategist and copywriter; and myself as lead designer. La Casa selected our solution as the first place winner after a long night of "hacking."
I was responsible for the full UX flow, prototype and visual design of the solution (based on Casa's brand guide), and worked with the team to develop copy and our presentation.
